Artefatto is a project by Giusy Miano, a graphic designer specialised in packaging. Purpose-designed papers, purpose-designed folds, which together give life to amazing (entirely handmade) rolling kits.
The project design took shape in January/February 2026, developed together with the Artefatto team through strategies built around a mood board full of references, aimed at representing the designer within the packaging. It all starts with the choice of the color combination: hex codes #FB2097 and #FB9720, a fuchsia and an orange with a Y2K playful vibe (Federica Bistoletti / Jan 20, 1997 -> FB 20 97 / FB 97 20).
The pack contains 54 papers and matches with their dedicated slot. The pack paper is Canson uncoated laminated paper, 224 g/m², while the filters use Favini uncoated paper, 190 g/m².
From the interior design of the pack to the stickers, the project is full of references: the sun on the cover comes from a tattoo, its shape is built on a construction grid, the same way any mark worth caring about would be built; the looping spiral references the enchantment glyphs cast by wizards in Minecraft, and the rolling plate inside is designed as a kite. Sun plus kite: high as a kite, high as the sun.
The whole visual language borrows from a period of analog, frame-by-frame animation: paper, pencil, markers, newspaper. Here that instinct completes a full loop:
analog inspiration → digital processing → analog output
Instead of a looping video, the animation becomes a physical flipbook to hold and thumb through (its sheets, of course, are not meant to be smoked!)
